Digital Library Management

A Digital Library Management System is developed to manage issuing library books, journals, etc. using a fully automated workflow where the entire record set of books/journals movement can be tracked with ‘To whom it was issued’, ‘Due date of return’. 

Notifications may be incorporated in the workflow using which the issuer is notified regarding the date of return of an issued book. Similarly, if a book is not returned on proper time, the librarian is notified regarding the issue. 

Provision is made for uploading and reading the e-books through the system itself (provided e-book is already available in some media), where the librarian can set the privilege of reading the book to the desired users.

Borrower information (may be uploaded in DMS if provided in Excel format):

• Emirates id (The id card may be scanned and uploaded for the employee)
• Employee id (The id card may be scanned and uploaded for the employee)
• Name of borrower
• Address of workplace
• Department
• Mobile number
• Nationality

Borrowing transaction information:

• Name of issuer
• Row id (Unique physical location of the book)
• Book category
• Serial of book
• Title of book
• Author of book
• Date of borrow
• Date of return
• Remarks
